One would imagine that scrub land and vegetation could be kept cleared if foresight could envisage this happening. Desperate measures indeed but I remembering it happening last year.🌺

It does make one wonder how this happens. I sure hope things are figured out.

Re: Kabu

I wish all ideas were welcomed and that there could be improvement. This state was once a gem. We should all learn from this tragedy but sadly, few will do so. They’ll keep spinning the same wheels that have always turned, I fear.

Re: Pat

Thanks for reading. We all have ideas and probably good ones. Our voices are not being heard - not yet. But maybe in time questions will be answered and things will change.

Re: Sherri

There is anger setting in and there are questions being raised. It won’t fix anything that has happened but maybe help in the future. They should have knocked it down at the very start, I think. But that didn’t happen. It was so windy, perhaps 🤔 the lack of air support wasn’t due entirely to the president’s visit.  But no water in the fire hydrants…

Like our Pat I have the answers but so does everyone else and it isn't helpful for someone from another country to tell people how it should be. I am thinking the Australian fire fighters that usually come will not be coming because it is fire danger time in Australia as well.

I wondered how this happened as I am sure everyone else is too. Arson, a tossed-out cigarette, a spark from a chimney or fire pit...Time will tell. You would think with the "no-fly zone" set in place because of a visiting president, that his advisors would have informed him to communicate with the residents, fire, city officials, and everyone else involved through live video rather than causing bigger problems. The dry hydrants are already a major issue. Hopefully, insurance will pay for rebuilding homes.

I have no answer to your questions, but I hope we humans figure out something to do that will keep nature balanced and beautiful. I've got some suggestions, but doesn't everyone? Peace.
