Re: Re: C C T
Yuk, if I had been Eliza, Higgins would have been very off-putting. I would have taken a chance with Freddy. Or Freddy's brother if he had one.

Re: C C T
Henry Higgins, was pale and rather nasty looking and a bad-mannered, middle-aged bully. He also had an odd tic, quite off-putting — every now and then he would stick out his tongue as far as he could extend it, then he would draw it back in, then back out and in again. He treated Eliza badly. as an object. On the other hand, Freddy, good for nothing was rich and had affection for Eliza. Although he may not be the perfect match for Eliza. Shaw himself was a sort of pessimist and unromantic. Thus he intentionally and probably for his own nature would not allow this pleasure to his readers, to keep it debatable.

I wonder if she would have married Freddy in modern times. I somehow think it is debatable.

I love Pygmalion as a story and the play.

The play is nothing short of awesome. People were often viewed one way or another, but especially by their dialect during that time. I can relate to Eliza. After living in so many different states, I have picked up slang and various accents, giving people reasons to mock me or ask where I am from.

A true classic there and one great movie based off of it.
