Re: C_C_T .......
.....While you were delivering eggs from 3,000 hens, we had our own hens (about 50) and our own eggs, and our own fried chicken that supplied a family of seven and our own home canned and fresh food from the garden. If I was good, Dad would give me a nickel to stop by the little store and buy myself a Milky Way or a pack of Walnetto's.

Well I had three thousand hens at one time in those days I delivered fresh eggs, folk used to moan if they went up a penny. I know I sold pullet eggs £1 for thirty. I think top class ones were about 2 shillings and sixpence half a dozen.
