from a Woman's point of view if a man handed me said note, I would ignore it, but woman to woman I would possibly at least read it.

Re: Pat

Good morning, Pat!

Your question was one of the reasons I would let this story stew for a month or so. If the protagonist were male, the story would take a decidedly different path from the protagonist being female. I'm looking to get the most 'scare score' without worrying about the woman vs man.

One of the courses I took as an ancillary offshoot of my Psychology degree was the difference in how men and women process the same 'threat.' Right now, I'm leaning toward making the recipient of the note a male... but that may change. There are several 'forks in the road' in the basic story, but many more if the main character is a woman. The question is, do I want to deviate from the curiosity of the note and where it can lead them?

That's why it's still cooking!

Question: is your protagonist a man or a woman? Being approached by a stranger and handed a note might be very differently received by a woman than it would by a guy. This could get interesting!
