Thank you. When I was a student at the University of Michigan in 1972/73, I attended several speeches given by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross. As a paramedic and later as an ER RN, I saw a lot of grief, up close and personal, when it was fresh and painful. I published a book on it in October last year that has done reasonably well for such a topic.
Most animals display grief when they lose a loved one. The higher up the ladder of intelligence, the more that creature can grieve.

Nice commentary on the state of grief. It is important to grieve. And it can be complicated. We all have different ways of dealing with the loss of a loved one.
