Thank you, Ladies!
I appreciate your input.
Yes, I know I don't leave many comments, which bothers some people. It seems no matter where I am, I should have been someplace else 47 minutes before that. BUT... I'm beginning to acknowledge the fact that I am getting older. I just hired out the mowing and tending to the yard to a young 24-year-old man. That alone will save me about ten hours a week.
We have a huge backyard that was a literal jungle four years ago. We worked on it for three weeks before discovering a small house that once housed a poor black family and at least two children. The jungle had long swallowed it up before we got here. It took us over ten weeks, working seven to ten hours every day, to reclaim the yard. I've never seen such a mess of trees, tangly 'ropes' of vines, and such.
The exact same situation with the "thing" in the property next to ours is just as thick and heavy, and that is the setting for my newest in-progress story, "Beyond The Fence." Whatever it is in that jungle, it seems to be able to move through it with ease. Even my dogs will attempt to get out there, and they back out because it is too thick... but the thing that is out there moves with ease.
Day or night, the 'thing' is out there, and it makes sure that we know that. I've heard it 'growl' at me once, but I have never heard anything make that noise before. This story is gonna be "Alfred Hitchcock" style... you never know what is about to happen.
Iffn ya are still reading, I will try to do better with leaving comments. I promise.

It's smart to get a professional to check your electrical work. House fires are no joke. Slow down to 2nd gear and enjoy your day. Happy St. Patrick's Day! 🍀

Re: Pat
lol.
I get insulted every morning when I look in the mirror. After that, life is a breeze. It takes a lot to upset me, and you haven't even begun to approach that bridge. No worries here.
I appreciate the input.

Apologies. I keep finding myself offering advice when you're perfectly capable of handling everything without it. Ticks me off sometimes when well-meaning folks do that to me. I'm trying to do better.

Getting an electrician to help is a win, and your safety is Priority 1, even ahead of tying up loose threads in the writing. But no worries, the good work is still in your mind just waiting for your fingers to release it onto a page.
