of course the person had to really want to stop herself for it to work. Hoping she does.

Good Morning
FSI, I hope that Lois listens to what the doctor told her. I believe they have programs for which people can sign up if they need help. I wish her the very best. May God Bless her. I've never smoked but I think it's tough for people to quit. She will probably have to change her lifestyle and that's easier said than done.

Yes it is a tough one to call. Of course it was never thought of as really being harmful.
Nearly everyone smoked once. Of course there were not so many nasties around
until the wars started. Perhaps Lead Paint and lead soldiers, mercury in little game boxes etc. .

Lois better take those warnings seriously. People die from both bad habits every day. Before I quit smoking in 2007, I smoked for 26 years. I was really close to having COPD. After being hospitalized on Thanksgiving Day in 2007 for pneumonia, partly brought on by smoking, I knew I had to quit. Since then, I have strengthened my lungs and I am much healthier. I still fight allergies, especially to cigarette smoke, but I feel a helluva lot better today. Good luck to Lois. Addictions can be hard to quit. I am sending her a prayer. 🙏
