Good Morning
I've heard stories about the war from family. It was a scary time.

Big sis and I were both war babies. She in 1942 and me in 1945. I have never been allowed to forget the war because every time it is x amount of years since the war ended, is a milestone year for me. This year the End and myself turn 80!!

Well of course we were sweating our socks off . I know it was terrible but one often wonders when one actions triggers death for some and a savior for others.
We were ten minutes away from being invaded, I remember it well it seemed
we were doomed. 🌺🌺

Talk about an unsettling time in our history. My maternal grandfather used to talk about this. He served in the Army during WWII. Many made it home, but too many lost their lives over senseless invasions.

Pat ......
.....You have taken me back....I'm seeing my two older cousins in uniform at a going away time throwing me up in the air and laughing the day they were leaving for over-seas. I don't think I saw them again until the war was over.
