I once saw a little gypsy girl she was wearing a sack. Not the latest fashion,🌺

Re: Sherri
Of course those days were more homely one knew most folk who passed. Bicycles were the usual courting vehicle if one ventured a little afar. One just slipped into one kind of work as you know. I suppose lying in bed all day is a kind of new faze.🦋

Nine pm is a long day for a working 14-year-old. Of course, people did what we had to do to scrape by. I imagine those tea stops were a welcome break. My grandparents shared stories with me from their life in the 1940s. Straight out of school, my grandfather served in the Army during WWII. I worked just as soon as the law allowed a 16-year-old to do so, and my 12-year-old grandson has started shoveling snow and mowing lawns in his neighborhood. There is something special about working for the things desired in life.

Australia had it tough too but not as tough as the UK.
I never went hungry or without in my life. Mother made all our clothes but although she wasn't a really good sewer, I loved my little skirts and dresses.

My grandparents did go through a lot back in those days. We must never forget.
