Yes it is a tough one having had seven years of nursing my Mother.

Hopefully she will remember your voice even if she does not recognize you.

Take care.🌺

I am so sorry to hear about your niece. That is a lot to go through.

My heart goes out to you. Your post illustrates your wisdom and kindness.  Alzheimer's is a cruel disease. Finding the right words to say to our loved ones is often hard. I had 2 Aunts who suffered from Alzheimer's in their 70's and 80's. The best thing we can do is show them our love and patience when they need it most. Thanks for sharing.

I hope the visit cheers everyone up! Aging is less and less fun as time goes by!

Re: Sherri.....

.....Yes when last I saw her in August I could tell she was failing fast and then on top of that, a few months ago  her only son died  suddenly and that didn't help matters any.  So sad for those who remember the vital person that she was.

That tree in your photo fits in well here in Pittsburgh. We have them growing everywhere in both white and pink. They are such vibrant trees. Alzheimer's is rough. I'm sorry your family member is going through this. My cousin was diagnosed with it right after she retired. She was a school teacher and a lovely person in general. She passed seven years after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's. This world has one too many ailments to dodge. One or the other eventually seems to catch up with us. Sad smile
