How to add pictures to your blog entries
You may add pictures to your blogs as long as your pictures are hosted on a third-party website which allows you to link to them from another site such as Blogit. Please note that most free picture hosting sites do not allow this.
You may also use the picture hosting capabilities on the Blogit site. You may include up to 50 pictures and 3 member pictures with your Blogit Silver subscription, and up to 100 pictures with your Blogit Gold subscription.
At this time, any pictures or member pictures that you
want to include, have to first be uploaded to your Blogit account. Therefore,
there are two parts to this.
- Go to your My Account page and click on "View/edit
pictures" or "View/edit member pictures" depending on the pictures you're
uploading.
- Once there, click on "Add a picture"
- Browse your computer for the picture you want to
upload to your Blogit account.
- Click on the "Save & Add" button
If you have already uploaded the pictures, please return to your Blogit Pictures page by clicking on "View/edit pictures" on your "My Account" page.
Click on the name of the picture you want to include and
copy the location of it by copying the URL that shows up in your web browser's
address field. You may wish to save this URL in a Word or Text document so that
you can easily find it for the second part.
- Now go back to your Write page.
- Click on "Add entry" to add a new piece of writing.
- Use the "Insert picture" icon on your toolbar
and include the location of the picture by copying and pasting in the URL you had
saved.
- Make sure to click on the "Save & Post" button once you're done
writing that new entry.
