Hello, and thanks for taking the time to read this!
My name is Rev. Rebecca Guile Hudson. I am an internationally
recognized, award-winning poet who spent my first seventeen years in a violent
household, where I experienced severe mental, physical and sexual abuse.
Writing helped me survive those years with my sanity intact.
My first book,” Out of
Cullen Street (A House of Madness)”, is now available at www.amazon.com – Yay!! (The blurry photo next to mine is the front cover -- kinda hard to tell what it looks like, tho, huh?) Grin...
In addition to singing
bass with the Albuquerque Symphony Adult Choir, I am a certified peer counselor
for the mentally ill, a paraprofessional crisis/suicide line volunteer and
trained hypnotherapist.
I am on the editorial advisory board of the Taj Mahal Review (an
international journal of the arts, culture and literature). I am also is a founding member of the Rosa
Parks Wall of Tolerance and the Martin Luther King, Jr., National Monument, and
a member of the ACLU.
I and my belovèd husband
of twenty-seven years, John, live in Los
Lunas, New Mexico. We
have three children, four grandchildren, four cats and three dogs.
