Hilarious!

Today Charlie was talking about something, said it was hilarious, which didn't quite seem to fit... I gave him a quizzical look and said, " 'Hilarious?' " He said, "Did I say 'hilarious?' I meant, 'awesome.' " I don't remember what he was talking about, but that cracked me up! It is so Charlie! Try it out, substituting 'hilarious' for other discriptive words. Symphony!

Charlie and I had a wonderful time today, listening to the Seattle Symphony Orchestra doing Mussorgsky's Night on Bald Mountain and Stravinsky's Firebird. Both of them, highly visual pieces, and both based on Russian fairytales. There was another piece between, neither Russian nor visual, by an Englishman name Ades, or something like that...two syllables, not one. This was a violin concerto in three movements, and not at all what my ear listens for in classical music. Not something I'd ever be... Sign in to see full entry.
