Priority bookings

I'm sorry not to have posted for a while but am grateful to everyone who has read or commented on my last few entries. I've been as busy as ever but also not feeling great. I think I may have contracted a flu virus which my immunisation is fighting back against - assuming it's one of the 'right... Sign in to see full entry.

The day after

So could today be as good as yesterday? Of course it could because every day is what we make it; what we want it to be. The highlight for us so far was a visit to a new family diner - Gulliver's Family Diner - which I wrote about in my BookMark blog. We were all feeling good when we went in and even... Shopping in Cambridge

I took a day off of work today so that Susan and I could spend the morning together. My Friday afternoons are re-deployed as a childrens' taxi service anyway so it was good to sign off corporate e-mail last night and know that I had some breathind space at last... It was a gorgeous, sunny day here... Sign in to see full entry.

Screen-based

I've been glued to the computer screen all day today, mainly on day job stuff but also some production on Fen Creative Family blogs. I've updated Building Brands, BookMark and Road to Nowhere today and also started to cross-link between the posts. I've also introduced Title tags for mouseovers,... Sign in to see full entry.

To Nottingham

I had to go to Nottingham today to meet with the company building our new company website. They are nice, friendly people and very knowledgeable about all things internet and I always look forward to our meetings. However, I look forward to the train journey from Ely even more. Yes, I know what... Sign in to see full entry.

I must not forget

that 2007 is the year of 'doing' rather than thinking or day-dreaming or procrastinating. I woke up with this thought and felt galvanised into action. 'The day job would hold plenty of challenges, none of which I'd shirk and none of which I couldn't handle.' I then considered that I really needed to... Sign in to see full entry.

The garden's the place to be

I was writing in my BookMark blog today about how daylight and sunshine has such a positive effect on we English. I've had a lovely day today and I'm sure it all started well because when I sat up and looked out over the Fens, the sun was already higlighting this expanse of dark, fertile land where... Speed issues

I'm sorry not to have posted since my training day. Thanks to everyone for your comments on Excel. I have to say that I do love it and think a small part of me is quite obsessed by its sheer capability. I had a busy week after this, including a trip on the Tuesday to a historical advertising archive... Sign in to see full entry.

Excelling at Excel

I was on another Excel course today. I say another as this was Level 3 and I only did Level 2 about t amonth ago. On my journey in I tried to remember all the things we'd done in Level 2 and couldn't remember any of them! The course went well. For 24 hours anyway I'll remember pivot tables and... Journeys

I tend to be the taxi driver on Fridays as I work from home. So, including several trips to school, school bus stops, friends for tonight's sleepover and youth club I've made about six journeys today, taking the children backwards and forwards. I wondered why I felt a bit tired this evening! I... Sign in to see full entry.
