Orthodox Jewish Kids Learning Arabic

Yesterday, I read an interesting piece in the NY Times which featured a Jewish High School where many kids from my city study. A few years ago, students requested that the school teach a course in Arabic along with French, Spanish and Hebrew, and the school complied. Why did the kids want to learn a language associated more with "the other side?" To spy? To use it against them? Not at all. In 1980, Operation Exodus brought 120,000 Soviet Jews to Israel... Sign in to see full entry.

Though just breaking news, what eye witnesses say is that this 89 year old anti-black, anti-semite, anti-humanitarian walked into the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC today and opened fire on the security guards. I can't even start to describe the rage I feel at this use of terror in a memorial to... Sign in to see full entry.
