Thoughts on being Jewish

Yesterday, I read an interesting piece in the NY Times which featured a Jewish High School where many kids from my city study. A few years ago, students requested that the school teach a course in Arabic along with French, Spanish and Hebrew, and the school complied. Why did the kids want to learn a language associated more with "the other side?" To spy? To use it against them? Not at all. It is natural and healthy to want material things. If nobody cared about material things, the earth would be desolate. But there is no need to burn inside over them. It eats away your passion for the more important things in life. Ask advice from those with experience. They will provide you cheaply that which they acquired at great expense. El Al means "To Up" or Up and Away, and it has a history that goes as far back as the State of Israel itself.
