The Open Door
(recounted to me by a friend) An interesting thing just happened. I went up to feed the cat. At some point I noticed the little cabinet door open next to the dishwasher. I closed it, thinking about Lauren and how she always leaves doors open. I flashed back to a conversation we’d had the night before. I reminded her to please turn off the lights before bed.
