At first I trusted you Believed everything that you had said Then I start to notice Little things At first they were little white lies Who says no ones ever done that? Then as the years pass They got bigger I started to notice my personal things missing Little things...like A journal that I had started writing for my children Then notes that I had written on a napkin Or personal photos that reminded me of my history. I was thinking today about what is meant to be and what’s not When we first met We thought it was meant to be But as the years go by We have found that it’s not We live our lives differently Our views are not in sync You believe in heaven and earth I believe in nothing but what’s in front of me We fight over silly things But these silly things become big You say you’re not controlling But all you do is control I am a free bird I live by adventure and excitement I am easily frightened of routine... I have known you for a short while, Yet it feels as if I have known you for years. Our deep conversations, Small talk and laughing like old friends. The vision of you brightens the room; Your humor brings my world to life. There's nothing better than knowing you are the one that I have been looking for. It seems to be getting harder As time goes by A little visit Just isn’t enough time We see each other We kiss each other We even hold hands As we are talking I sit and wonder when When am I going to have the chance?
