If what I have heard is true, the numbers of voting Americans are now roughly divided equally, among those who identify themselves as Democrats or Republicans or as Independents. If we are divided into something close to three equal groups of voters, and the confidence in our national leaders (public servants) is at an all time low, why isn’t there a surge of interest in some third political party, almost any third party?
