If you ever want to catch a boy’s undivided attention, just say the word “ firecracker.” Boys all live by the philosophy that says, “ A firecracker is a terrible thing to waste. ” Some people, would profligately blow off a whole string (!) of firecrackers, all at once instead of unwinding the fuses and separating each precious firecracker from its brothers, so it could be savored and appreciated properly.
