Origen - Transmigration of the Soul
Origen (185-254 A.D.) is considered one of the premier theologians of early Christianity. One of his main tenets is the idea of metempsychosis, or the transmigration of souls. Origen did not believe in the eternal suffering of sinners in hell. In Origen’s thinking all souls, including the one called Satan, are eventually restored (a concept known as apokatastasis) to oneness with God.
