According to the dictionary at Answers.com, one definition of a prophet is one who is gifted with profound moral insight and exceptional powers of expression. Wayne Teasdale, in his book “Mystic Heart”, writes about prophets and prophecy from that particular perspective. He defines a prophet as one who speaks up against injustice and tyranny in the world.
