As I watch the news and see the devastation of New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, I am saddened. Of course, I am saddened by the loss of life and by the destruction of property. But I am also saddened by what we have forgotten. I am saddened that we have forgotten our divinity. I am saddened that we have forgotten our “oneness”. News of looting pains me.
