What if We All Actually Understand "God", But Claim Ignorance?

What if each of us truly understands “God”? What if deep down inside we each know exactly what “God” is telling us, but we claim ignorance when asked? Keirkegaard said as much. He said that the New Testament was actually very simple and easy to understand, but if we admitted to understanding it, we would have to act accordingly.
