Ownership is a hard undertaking, especially when what we need to own is usually a slap in the face for us. Thanks for reading.

Thanks. I think you are right about the conditioning. Bad habits are hard to break.

Yes, sometimes it's hard though to admit to what is being mirrored back to us.

Sannhet-thanks for your thoughts on perception. It is a powerful thing indeed. It is a great idea to look for the positive more so than the negative in people

I agree, this is one of the best ones for a while
One of the most effective ways to develop something in ourselves is to recognise, affirm and celebrate it in others. Often it takes no less an act of strength that to say Yes to some quality in someone that we find ourselves compulsively denying or having a problem with, in order to restore harmony to ourselves. Usually what we have a hard time accepting in others is actually a big clue to something deep and important to us that we cant quite own. Thanks for an inspiring post!

I must say that this is my favorite post I have read on Blogit. I am sure I have heard or read this before, but not in the same way that you have presented it here - thank you for this powerful post.

great explanation of projection. it seems confusing because we are so conditioned to deny what we are looking at.

Oh So True
You're right, I agree with you completely. Whenever I get "wound up" and emotional about someone, or they do something that really annoys me...I try to take a step back and look at my reaction. Usually the person is only mirroring what I need to learn at that moment.
