- Go to Die Before You Die and Die Daily. What???

Yes, it's kind of liking remembering to take your wallet with you. It's something that has to be a habit or you will forget it.

I like your description of consciousness as an overgrown bush that we prune. Great imagery.

Wonderfully worded post...great food for thought. There are some who even believe that when we sleep, we are loosing our bonds to the mundane, illusory part of ourselves & as we enter the dream time, we then more easily connect to the Divine. It's when we wake up that we need to remember to grab our Souls & keep them close to our physical hearts so we can keep the Divine connection throughout the daytime.

Sannhet -- An eloquent post. The way I see it is that we have an excess
of self-consciousness, rather like an overgrown bush. Physical death, if we use it as a watermark for our limits, becomes something that we can nudge at gently, attempting to arrive at it "exactly" using neiher too much or too little force to reach it. The aim is to "kiss" it, not overpower it or underdo it. This schooling requires a constant refinement, the "voluntary" death you speak of, which is like pruning the bush of self-consciousness. Living and dying, knowing the right time and amount of each, this is the exquisite art.

This is how I see death as well. A death to waking up with the divine.
