Frankenkitty, it isn't easy to bounce back but we do

shypettite  and  A-and-B . Thank you

JasonScyte  we can find out own terms for being No.1. We don't have to conform.

Thank  you  SilverMoon7  . So pleased that you are back and that you are selling some work too.

I loved your comment

Uncle_Dave_ I know they want these books. If it's possible it will happen. We can have a good old scrap for  # 1 spot. You need to understand that you'l have to give up your weekends or take a laptop of you want to be number 1. Fresh air and nights in old pubs won't do it. Hard choice I know

una01 we have to bring ourselves closer to our aims ourselves. I think many people don't envy me the insecurity and so they don't move closer

Majroj. Many people are like that : "Give me fire, give me mayhem...but I'm scared to death of being unemployed.
Jazwolf  it's a bummer but better days will follow

Elasticity. I am loosing
that quality.  After the whole thing with my dad, you'd think I should be able to just take a few hits and keep going. I'm tired.  Good luck with your new project. I will support your effort

Be Uno Numero
If you don't make yourself No. 1, you will always remain No.2.

Never give up
when climbing hills because I've been told the views are memorable and you'll need those when sheltering in colder valleys.

You have to keep hopeful with the fact that the postponement is exactly that - it's coming later. But you haven't been knocked down. You're up and at 'em and you've already got other avenues opening up. Easy to say and hard to do, but don't get disheartened, keep plugging away - it's the advice you'd give to any one of us in the same predicament.

As for that # 1 spot on here, you'll have to settle for #2, but I'll let you keep the throne warm at weekends when I'm boondoggling elsewhere.

Your writing career may be precarious as you said.
But you are getting closer to your dream of writing a book of more substantial stuff. Enviable!
