Exactly, Scriber ...
it's so sad to see someone lose that ability.

of course most young people can climb walls with their sticky feet.

Wow! I really appreciate your saying that, Troosha.
I don't often feel 21, either.

You're quite something
You have a vibrant wit and a remarkable ability  for twisting and crafting words into a tale. I keep forgetting you're 21 - what a talent you have!

Why thank you, Ben.

That was a cute comparison.  They have much more energy  that the senior  spiders. Lol.

If old folks are spiders, what are young folks kinda like then? Lol.

Congratulations, you have 10 clicks. Thanks for your radership.

Madamoiselle I glad you didn't compare old people to flies. Rumor has

it they only live 24 to 48 hours.  I enjoyed this post.

It's nice to meet people here with a healthy sense of humor.

Skeeter and DP (the frat aliens) are characters on ATHF ...

The best show on TV (imo), and the source of many of my greatest quotes.

posted by Mademoiselle on June 7, 2006 at 12:19 PM | link to this | reply

hurts like "eight bitches on a bitch boat" LOL, Mademoiselle,

What movie is that from?  Who is Skeeter the frat alien?  I'm sure that you're right about not wanting to get bitten by a tarantula.

I think Nietzsche was so wrong when he wrote, "What doesn't kill me makes me stronger".  No, sometimes what doesn't kill you, just hurts and causes permanent injury.

Madem, those is both touching and hilarious at the same time.
Poor old spiders.  Poor grandpa.  But hey, a new coffee table.

So, you can understand where I'm coming from, Ariel.

You still definitely wouldn't want to be bitten by one, Blanche ...

Hurts like "eight bitches on a bitch boat" (as Skeeter the frat alien would say).

Yes indeed, I find walking on the ceiling harder every day. Get blood running to my head as well.

Mine did the cossack dance into his 70s, Mademoiselle,
I meant, my grandfather. I don't keep tarantulas.  Although, I hear they're harmless.

Mademoiselle--- I use a rolled up newspaper to keep my grandparents off the
walls. Of course, if you swat too hard . . .

Well written but very sad really. I hope I don't start trying to prove myself again soon.

This one's not so much intended to be taken literally, Ann ...

I was on my deathbed, plus heavily medicated, and thus may have been suffering hallucinations.

Oh, no, Passion ... Charlie is the thing I coughed up last week.
That's who Curator was asking about.  I don't sleep with my pets (all of whom are female, btw).

I think it's dangerous to sleep with a tarantula...
You could roll over and squish him.

That's a pretty good one, Cesium.
After reading this one a few minutes ago, my mother suggested reducing the dosage of my medication.

No, Curator ... I haven't.
Actually, he's become a full-fledged member of my family now.  Charlie even sleeps in my bed with me ... he's got his own little pillow and everything.

Giant spiders?  I'm still grappling with the part about where you're going to die ...?  Did you ever figure out what the thing was that you hacked up? I'm all curious.
