Very profound - the world would be a better place if we all "got it." Balance is the key in everything. Too much darkness will drown our light, but too much light can blind us to reality and truth, as well as blind those who wish to enter our lives, our minds, our space

Thanks for the good wishes, Chrylann!
It was mentioned in Offy's comments yesterday--probably you saw it there, I don't think it made the New York Times--

I think I read it was your birthday? I hope I'm correct because I can't
remember where I read it, to verify it! If it is
Happy Birthday to You! It is also my mother's birthday today.

I think in my case (and MaggieMae's) the evil presence we deal with is in the form of a sibling...Very toxic!

A perfect example!
Both sides see their own need as greater, and so are threatened by the other's--brings out the fear of loss of resource and power over resources--greed is usually the fear of starvation, when it comes down to it-- and power-play is the manifestation of the fear of someone else limiting one's options.

"some people's Good is other people's Evil"
This is so true, Ciel. I have a friend that is trying to sell some property. The potential buyer, thinking it "good" because he of course would make a bundle on the building in a resale, was doing everything he could to get a lower price on the building, including trying to screw over my friend with bogus appraisals. But to my friend, his behavior was "evil". (it's pretty evil to me, too.)
