Absolutely 100 percent not your or anyone's fault who suffers silently always. Some of our most brilliant minds have wondered always why and self blamed for who they are. Years ago I gave up going to parties unless i could work in the kitchen or something. I don't have any small talk. I watched people I have known and loved work a room, and they would amaze me. All I was ever good for was to have a meaningful talk with one person.

The millions of people whose brain processes things differently due to the broad spectrum of neuro-divergent issues are not as rare as they used to be. Autism, bipolar, OCD, anxiety, and epilepsy are just a few examples. My oldest has ADHD. I have OCD, and I have some adult issues with dyslexia that weren't a problem when I was a kid. My dad was a manic depressive who ended his life due to a lack of understanding of the disease years ago. Not everyone talks about it, but you are right. Now that we know better, we can do better.
