Small Baby-Boom?

We've got great news: one of my sister is pregnant again! It seems that there is a small baby-boom happening in Québec province: of all the "extra" (more than the previous year) baby born in 2007, half where in Québec! A Big Surprise!

I've got quite a surprise yesterday! It was about 1:30pm when I got a collect call from my Mann; he was in Iqualuit and about to take a plane for Ottawa! Snails, and slugs, and dogs.

On my early walk today, I saw little cousins of the snails, lots of them; the slugs. At first I thought that they were leeches, about 1 1/2 cm long, very dark brown, almost black, rather like the leeches in Australia that hang in grass and on leaves and attach themselves to innocent passerbys'feet.... The river Rideau Swans

I don't know how many of you know about it, but we have a few swans in Ottawa (given to the city by the queen I believe). They usually bring them back inside for the winter but for now they simply roam on the Rideau river close by the path. It was quite nice to see 5 of them today, gently moving...
