Reunited with Cory,

If a dog could speak, it could be a great orator. My dog was so happy to see me when I returned that she almost utter two words, I think she said "Love you". The return to normal took a couple of days. I have almost gotten my clock adjusted and will try to finish laundry and put things in proper... Sign in to see full entry.

The skies were weeping as I prepared

to leave AZ and head home. The morning temperature was quite low, and the wind was coming strong from the SouthWest. Approximately 1 PM the sun started to hide and we could see clouds floating up and above the mountains. We drove approximately 20 miles into town. Went to several stores, Church and... It is not ashes but sunshine

that greets me this morning. Yesterday began the season of Lent. I went to bed happy, When in Rome do as the Romans do, has been my motto for the past month. It is easy for me to adjust to new environment. Now as I approach another Lent and another year of life I wonder about future adjustments. The... Sign in to see full entry.

The road had a 30 degree grade

and primitive, stone, with crushed rock and narrow. We traveled the Secret Pass looking at nature and taking pictures. We were careful to remember each turn in the road. We saw some cattle grazing on small amounts of vegetation and the winding road went on and on. We stopped where the road seemed to... Sign in to see full entry.

So excited to be making a difference

I have convinced myself of many things during my lifetime. First I believed my talent would thrust me far into the future. Second I wanted to believe that I would grow up and not get old. Third I thought my choice of lifestyle would last me til the end. Well, now that I have grown up, know the... Sign in to see full entry.

Rain in the morning sky, danger or not?

Las Vegas, abut 100 miles away, and this desert place share the same weather pattern. Today the sky was overcast and the beautiful drizzle of rain is coming over the mountains. There should be no danger here. This is the first or second rain, and a small amount at that, since August. The locals are... Sign in to see full entry.

Fantastic food in a hide-away

Can you imagine finding a gourmet menu in a tiny resort restaurant nearly at the top of a mountain? Well, Michael knew about this place called Hualapai Mountain Resort. It is located in the Hualapai mountains and can be reached quickly from the desert below. They have ponderosa pine, aspen and... Sign in to see full entry.

I refuse to grow up!

Last evening about 10 P.M. I ventured outside with binoculars, flashlights and Daisy (canine companion here). The moon was absent from view and the stars were so bright and close. They seemed to twinkle more and more as I watched. The wind was soft at first and embrassed me and then as the night... Sign in to see full entry.

What do these words have in common with one another?

Yesterday I had a new experience! I had a 40 minute interview on the telephone with an RN. She represents an Insurance Company. I made a request for a LTC (long term care policy) a few weeks ago. Ah, it started with her introduction and then pressed on to questions regarding health history,... Sign in to see full entry.

What makes it so intriguing, maybe Mother Nature?

I was asleep, dreaming about absolutely nothing and suddenly I heard a Yip, Yip, Yip, howl!. Terrific chills ran up my spine and I realized the world still has wild animals. I saw a single coyote from the side porch. Using binoculars I saw the deep thick fur and beautiful coloration from tan and... Sign in to see full entry.
