I found it odd in a way that today is so celebratedI

I traveled to the local grocery store this morning and found, flowers, cards, balloons and stuffed animals jumping out the front door. The Wal-Mart had the same, and some 50% off items that were for St. Valentine's Day. The cut flowers were beautiful.. Great for the merchants but I hope it puts love... Sign in to see full entry.

US Mail Delivery or not

I am delighted the pony express progressed to the U.S. Mail delivery service we now experience. However, having said that, where the heck did my payment go? I mailed a payment on 28 January and the company advised me 12 Feb they have not received the letter. So, I paid my telephone check. Don't you... Sign in to see full entry.

Suddenly time stands still!

We were traveling on the weekend to a Mission located on an Indian Reservation south of Tucson. We planned the trip weeks ago. Our intention was to attend Mass and to formalize our engagement. The weather was wonderful and as we arrived the cloud cover cast a special cool and quiet spell over the... Sign in to see full entry.

Switching loyalty

or just plain being loyal. I have been studying some issues and wondering how the future will record the actions of our generation. It seems we often take the easy way out of responsibility and as a single person (widow) I wonder how that will affect our children and grandchildren? I am speaking... Sign in to see full entry.

Up and at em ! Scrub with a brush, rinse with water,

that was my shower this AM and then a couple of strong cups of coffee. I read some terrific posts here in blogitsville and then sat about to write. Did you ever wonder what happens to all the hours we sleep? Are they counted as active? Are they saved up and added to the end of our days? All I can... Sign in to see full entry.

Convicting our souls and quail eating breakfast while

I watch from the kitchen window. The soft sounds of their cooing and the flutter of their wings fills my ears and my heart. Mother nature finds ways to convict our soul, do you agree? Today is Monday post Super Bowl game. The teams must be exhausted, the Bears and Colts I mean. Did you watch the... Sign in to see full entry.

Questions arise about attitude

posture and mood. I have been trying to examine some realities. What is obvious is not necessarily visible. Do you agree? When does "feeling" happy and being happy become two things? My ability to adjust is pretty great. I never give up on a relationship until it is a drop down, knock out situation.... Sign in to see full entry.

Sun setting on the back mountain and ghosts on the far side,

as I see it. The wind in the mountains sounds like the voices of men and horses and birds. There must be ghosts there in the valley as the sun sets for the day. The open range backs up to the property line and there are beef cattle grazing nearby. There is a competition however, as the wild burro... Sign in to see full entry.

Politically correct or just plain correct?

I am visiting in my own country! Whata wonderful experience! Last night the Coyote howled and the temperature dropped very low. This morning the sun is rising with sure and deliberate movement. My expected activity of the day is to be happy and visit a small nearby town, museum and a department... Sign in to see full entry.

Listening to Mozart

The Abduction from the Seraglio and enjoying the soprano so very much. Somehow the sounds of that young voice sends chills up and down my spine. In the meantime the view from the window is also chilling. We are nestled up to a group of mountains and the forms and shapes change with the sunshine.... Sign in to see full entry.
