Rubbing shoulders with famous people...

The town my college is in is practically controlled by a man named Jerry Falwell. If you don't know who he is, he's an envangelical preacher who is extremely racist, bigotist, etc. He's the chancellor of a large, Baptist university about ten minutes down the road from us. Its a college with a lot of very strict rules regarding male-female relations: for example, there are male and female dorms, and students aren't allowed to even go near the dorms of people of the other sex. Davenport Global Leadership Program

I forgot to write a blog on Friday continuing my explits within the Alumnae Bulletin. I'm supposed to keep this journal, and a lof of activities, regularly. On Friday morning I had my first full period of work, from 10-1. Wendy came up with a list of things for me to do for the semester- or at least for the next few weeks. If you're in college, or have graduated within the past two years or so, you'll be familiar with the college phenomenon thefacebook.com. Begun by a bunch of students at Harvard, its basically one giant online community of college students. R-MWC has been pestering the administration for a while to get it- and we finally got it yesterday. God, is it addicting.
