The issue of friends... revisited

I apologize for last night's diatribe. Too much alcohol and not enough sleep. But I still think the same things I thought last night. I told you about my friends, Amanda and Julia, being friends again. Well, the truth of the matter is, they're in a kind of post-cold-war thing, with one disliking and mistrusting the other and vice versa, still. I'm on the fence regarding the two former friends, because on the one hand I'm very, very close with Amanda, Anne, and Rebecca, but on the other hand I'm... Sign in to see full entry.

Relationships? Or not....

I'm beginning to hate relationships- or so-called ones. I had yet another infuriating conversation with Chis this evening. He asked me, casual as you please, if I'd been dating over the summer. R-MWC traditions, part IV

R-MWC traditions, part III

A favorite fall tradition is Neverending Weekend. Its usually held at the beginning of November, and is constituted of: Tacky Party and Fall formal. Tacky Party is... well, just that, I guess. Everyone dresses up in their tackiest clothes and there's usually a band that comes and plays. Tacky Party is usually when we get the most men on campus- dates of girls and friends of those dates. On Tacky Party night there are also a lot pf parties that take place in Webb, the senior dorm on campus.There... Sign in to see full entry.

R-MWC traditions, part II

Every year the seniors (this would include me this year, folks) hang their graduation robes on their dorm room doors. Each senior also has a stole/ scarf that she drapes around her neck that she pins buttons on that she collected during her time at Randolph-Macon. Its become the tradition as well for each senior to wear a funny hat as well. She then wears this getup to convocation, Pumpkin Parade, Founder's Day, and Daisy Chain. This tradition is fairly recent. The wearing of graduation robes... Sign in to see full entry.
