This afternoon, I've been thinking of one of my old roommates from when I was hospitalized over the winter. (I was in a nursing home for about thirty days for rehabilitation, after being in a regular hospital for a week and a half.) She was in the rehab ward because she'd just had a leg amputated perhaps a month before she became my roommate.
