When I was a young boy, back in the 50’s, I marveled at the enormity of, and fundamental change that had occurred in the span of a single, long lifetime. I clearly remember sitting in rapt silence, listening to my great grandmother regale me with true first-person accounts of traveling westward to the wild frontier of Ohio (!) with her family, in a covered wagon.
