It is a foregone conclusion that our next president will be of Irish extraction. I think that he will be the first Irish president since JFK, and I wonder why? The talking heads on the evening news all say that his campaign has been a tough, uphill struggle, because he is also fighting prejudice, (!) nearly half a century after John Kennedy was elected!
