Ego and Ignorance Are the Same Thing
I was reading an interview recently with Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche, a highly respected Tibetan Buddhist master, and he mentioned that ego and ignorance are different names for the same thing. That really got me thinking about it because I had never heard it put that way before. And you know what? He is right. Ignorance is just another name for Ego. Think about the foolish things that we can do and the foolish emotions we can exhibit. Ego, i.e. Ignorance, is behind the vast majority of them.... Sign in to see full entry.
