Men dressed in Iraqi security guard uniforms swept into a Sunni village today, killing three and abducting over 20 others. The abductors are thought to be Shiite. Whether they are actual Iraqi military or not is unknown. Attacks such as this are becoming increasingly common. Seven American military... Sign in to see full entry.

Way Two Two Two Two Many

Dozens of Iraqis were killed all over Iraq today in the latest wave of bloodshed to wash over the country. Authorities say they expect the insurgency to continue such wanton bloodshed up to and maybe even past the date of the announcement (to be held this week) of the official results of the... Another Helicopter Down

In the past 10 days, three helicopters have been downed in Iraq. Yesterday, an Apache crashed, killing the two soldiers aboard. Military spokesmen haven't reported on the cause of the crash, but a video shown on the internet shows what looks to be a helicopter being shot down by a surface-to-air... Sign in to see full entry.

And in Iraq, Americans don't wipe of the fake blood and throw off the fake splints at the end of the day. No, in Iraq, Americans die. Unfortunately, for them... Sign in to see full entry.

Bush's New Year's Resolution

Nobody was as shocked as I to hear that Dubya's press conference this morning included the announcement of the withdrawal of all American troops from Iraq before January 1, 2007. It was part of his New Year's resolution. The withdrawal would be made in stages, beginning with an initial pullout of... Sign in to see full entry.

Upsurge In Violence Expected

A top military official today stated that the upsurge in violence in Iraq in the last few days was expected, especially after security measures were loosened after the December 15 elections. I am quite sure that the families of those killed in Iraq, both Iraqi and American alike, will feel much... Sign in to see full entry.

They're Not Ready To Play Dead Just Yet

The day after Christmas saw an upswing in violence in Iraq, with five carbombings and an exploding motorcycle adding more bodies to the growing number of people killed in Iraq. Another American soldier was also killed. Three groups have come out against the official election results. Two of those... Sign in to see full entry.
