The Beast of Bayern!

There is in the woods of Bayern, where Vogue was or there about, a strange beast roaming the forest floor for something to eat. The beast in question is called the "Wolpertinger" and it is indeed the strangest of all beasts (except maybe for the platypus...). It has rabbit-like white fur, a... Sign in to see full entry.

Munich, München

I really really loved Munich, or as it is called here, München. It is a rather big city with over 1.4 million inhabitants but it doesn't feel that way. They succeeded to keep many wooded parklands throughout the city and an enchanting big one, more or less in its center, the English Garden, over 4... Sign in to see full entry.

Off to Munich we go...

As we are leaving for Munich tomorow morning, I decided to write tonight to let you know that I will probably not have the time (or the inclination) to write until we come back Sunday night or the day after. Hopefully, even if the weather isn't too nice (they predicted rain and clouds for the next 4... Sign in to see full entry.

Finally..The Spargel recipe

I did say some time ago that I was to present a good recipe for Deutsche WeissSpragel (German white asparagus). So there it goes: Gratinierter Spargel (Asparagus Gratiné) Zutaten für 4 Portionen (for 4 portions) 500g Spargel, grün (green asparagus) 500g Spargel, weiss (white asparagus) 1 Prise... Germans, Germans, Germans!

While in Spain (not long ago), I had a German room-mate. She was nice and (I believe I already mentioned this) very green. It was her first trip outside of Germany and alone on top of it. When arrived the first morning, she came to see me and asked me to help her with her bed. I looked at her in a... Sign in to see full entry.

Willkommen! Welcome to the new-old Auslander!

That's it! I am now officially in the Journal section. I have not felt any real changes by crossing sections, but will see. We were supposed to go for a week of biking in the Loire Valley, but my Mann had to go to Oslo for a few days. So, the Loire will have to wait once more. It is the second time... Changing entry field or not?

I am strating to wonder if my blog would not be better into journal than travel? It is a bit like a journal, except for the bits when I talk about the places I went to. What do you all think? Where should I go? Once again, I feel like I do not really fit in any square box, but in multitude of suqare... Sign in to see full entry.

My Provençal Basket and I

My big Provençal straw basket with leather handles and I are really going to miss our little Saturday Morning outings together. Since we arrived in Germany, him (because for me it is a masculine strong basket and, in any cases, in French it is "un" panier and I am too old to change my way!LOL) and... The tunnel, the new parking lot, the new school...

I am starting to feel a bit stock here: they blocked my road up leading to main street and the closest train stop because they are re-building it after adding the new parking lot. They blocked the road down leading to Hahnmarkt because of the new tunnel and the explosions to carve it out of the... Sign in to see full entry.

I just had to laugh!

There is a book store in the Heidelberg train station and when I have a bit of time between trains, I like to go in and look at their international books section. They have a few books in French, Spanish, English and others. They also have a few international magazines. As I was entering in it the... Sign in to see full entry.
