How can the Bible be True and not-true at the same time?
As with all things, it is a matter of perspective. Look at the people around you. Do you see them? Truly? Or does your vision and appreciation get hung up on their clothing, their sense of style (or not-style) or possibly their body? Do you listen as well as look, and then perceive them as what they say, or how they say it? Do you actually ever see them? Ghost Story
I was at my first ESP Fair as a professional reader/healer, the same one where I met the lady who told me, almost apologetically, that she wasn't psychic, herself, but came to things like this, to experience it, then a few moments later, asked, "What's that blue light around your hands?" Human beings like sex so much, they hate to give it up just to be holy...
Now and then, I sit down in a state of moderately deep trance, and answer questions put to me by a small circle of people. The answers are not my concious answers, but come from some source that might be what could be called my own 'higher conciousness' or from a source closer to the person asking the question. Fear itself is, of course, also a matter of choice...
It may not feel like it, but it is. For the Body fear may be an automatic response to threat against well-being, but to the human mind-- that synergistic interface between Body and Spirit--there are the elements of concious intent and deliberate choice. The choices we make about human love do seem to take a lot of practice to get right... to result in the results we want! Love and Fear... Life and Death...
These topics have been coming up lately like mushrooms after a rain... And usually, in the usual frame of philosophical thought. Whose problem is it really?
A question which bears consideration, before we spend our time and energy trying to find solutions for a problem that really isn't our own, or the wrong problem, because someone else told us that was the right one... Many times I asked questions of my teachers of spiritual training, and they answered what they thought were better questions for me to be asking. The Akashic Record and the Small,Still Voice
The Bible says: Ask and you shall receive. Knock and the door shall be opened... Metaphysics calls it the Akashic Records. The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ of the Piscean Age, which falls somewhere between those two, refers to The Book of God's Remembrance.
