This morning's State Newspaper has the word HORROR and a picture and caption of an adult woman embracing a youth/student at Virginia Tech. By this time we are all learning of a neighbor's child who is in the number injured or dead in the VA Tech University massacre of yesterday. My heart is heavy... Sign in to see full entry.

I have to tell you that our State University hit an
all time low today! The news about Virginia Tech's student body and professor massacre on campus was devastating. My granddaughter graduated there 2 years ago and occupied the Dorm in which the first shooting took place. My family members have attended that fine school for generations. I pray for... Wow, what a lost weekend will do for you
I had a terrific day on Thursday and was getting over the sinus/cold thing. For supper I had chicken, potatoes, cold slaw, rolls, tea an then bang. I was so sick. It had to be the stomach virus that laid me low. Today, Sunday, is the first day I even ventured to the computer. My family really nursed... Sign in to see full entry.

Travels with my nephew..as suggested

Alas, Dell has confused me again
I was trying to get online this morning and a Dell notice came up on my screen asking me to disagree or agree to a licensing issue. What the heck was it all about? It cautioned do not check either block until you read and understand the agreement. Well, I was intimidated and so I read. It was... Sign in to see full entry.

Discovering a cookbook, forty years later
Saturday my daughter came for a visit. It was a pleasant day and while visiting we decided to clean out a closet. You may have just such a closet. It started out being filled only partially and then in a matter of a few years, (ha, ha) it became FU L L I discovered a lot of stuff like pans and... Sign in to see full entry.
