I remember high school as being very testosterone-driven. In 2002, when I graduated from a private boarding school in New Jersey, the school of about 430 students was roughly 60% male, 40% female; and the ratio of boy/girl dorms was 2:1. The school had been co-ed from its inception in 1848 until 1915, then went single-sex (boys, of course), then became co-ed again in 1970. You can die, but you can't leave Brooklyn. In November, a morgue worker in Brooklyn stole the wallet of a dead man and, in a feat of tactical brilliance, used the man's debit card in an ATM across the street from the morgue, taking $3000 out of the account. Who the hell does stuff like this? Imagine being the widow of the dead man and finding out through the bank that this was happening. Right now I'm in midtown, at a temp assignment I received late yesterday evening. I was going to spend today doing all the last-minute things that needed to be done before going on vacation (laundry, exercise at the gym, etc), but that plan went out the window. Still, its good money. My job's a receptionist one in the office of a real estate developer. I'll be here until 6 pm; the office has its holiday party today and everyone is out.
