Frustrating

Frustrating day in the day job today. Battle of egos in the 'management' meeting this morning and now a webstats supplier is trying to backtrack on the real meaning of data in a report I commissioned and agreed to pay for (not now!). By Jove! tearooms

I think I may have mentioned before that we have a new tearoom and teashop, called By Jove!, in our village of Burwell in Cambridgeshire. Last cottage clean

We have exchanged contracts on our cottage and are due to complete on August 3rd. as some of you will know from my posts here, we bought two tied farm cottages in 1993. Busy

It's a common theme to my posts isn't it: busy! Well, I had a holiday on Monday as Claire was dancing in a dance festival in Peterborough (my home town). A busy Saturday

As you may know, we're due to sell the cottage in two weeks' time but have holiday tenants in there until then so Susan, Claire and I spent the day cleaning and tidying. More car issues

Monday madness

Manic yesterday with the day job. We've been busy today as well but it's been a little more controlled. When I got home last night I tried to 'phone the AA (Automobile Association) who insure my car. Relaxing weekend

We've had a relaxing weekend here in Cambridgeshire. There's been a lot of driving backwards and forwards to shows where Ivan has been playing bass and dance rehearsals for Claire but all in all it's been quite relaxing. Test no match for the rain

The company that pay me for the day job are having a summer party today. As I commute, I didn't go down for it, preferring to work and do 'research' from home.
