If you had to choose between being a Republican senator, governor or representative, up for re-election, (!) or whoever will be held responsible for the debacle in Myanmar, which would you choose? Which could be WORSE? According to some sources close to the president, he is preoccupied, (to put it mildly) with how history will view his presidency. Too bad that he can’t ask Nixon. As I stumbled out of the bedroom, half-asleep, this morning I was awakened instantaneously. I heard the TV say, “Karen is weakening significantly and is expected to be gone tomorrow!” What a relief to find out that the newscaster was speaking about a tropical storm. Without my being aware of it, I was still worrying about my boss, Karen Pitlak’s medical emergency. Normally, I think of humorous slants to put on scary stuff because it takes away a bit of our fear.
