Golf wars! Can't we all just get along?
I used to work with a golfer, way back in the sixties, and after listening to him talk about the game’s mental, physical, and equipment peculiarities, I decided to try playing golf personally. The Uof M par-three course is only a couple miles from where I lived and each day after work, I’d play a quick nine holes. A seven iron, nine iron, a five iron and a putter were the only clubs needed (I never learned how to use woods) and I took 46 strokes to go around the course on my first try. By the...
