Lew Wasserman

Keeping Fit to Play Prewitt
Monty kept himself particularly fit to play the role of Prewitt in From Here to Eternity. Every morning he would jog at a track across from a high school. Fly Away Home Boredom
Towards the end of the run of Monty's first Broadway play, Fly Away Home ( 1935), boredom set in. Shirley MacLaine
My research indicates that actress Shirley MacLaine ALMOST made a comedy with Monty in the 1960's (see my by 9/8/09 entry about Monty's tally of dramas and comedies). Wild River at the Egyptian Theatre
I just got back from an Elia Kazan double feature at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. The first film was A Face in the Crowd, starring Andy Griffith and Patricia Neal.
