Continuing Computer Saga

OK, so prayer has its limitations. The computer still doesn't work despite repeated kicks, throwing it across the room, loud screams and threats of torture. Yes, you've sussed it. I have computer problems. Fortunately I have two laptops ('cos I live in two houses, Rocking Rectory which belongs to the Church and our own little bungalow where we escape on my day off). Chapter Dinner

Just back from the Chapter Christmas lunch. We went to a pub in the next diocese for a three course meal - excellent - topped off with coffee and mints. Carol Singing

The local Garden Centre provides all the fairy lights for our Christmas Tree Festival and produces a magnificent display. As a quid pro quo, a group of us go up to the Garden Centre on their pre-Christmas Open Evening and sing carols. Since they provide us with mulled wine and mince pies, it's a... It's good and it's going well, apart from the fact that we lost a lot of sponsors due to the credit crunch. Christmas Trees Rule OK

Our Christmas Tree festival kicked off this evening after the service of light which was packed. The Bishop Of Norwich came with his wife and he opened the festival for us. It looks amazing! A Puncture

I have a puncture in my rear bike tyre, which may be a blessing in disguise. The meeting last night was just as dire as I expected and rather longer than I had hoped. This church has had 1662 worship since - well, 1662!
