Relax! Look around you. Look at what you have. There ya go! Everything you have is what you wanted more than you wanted something else. But, I hear, faintly, I didn't want stale cereal for breakfast. The BIG Picture: Ways of Knowing

Here we are. Here is a pretty big place, bigger than we realize for a while, and then, as we get older and wiser, we understand that it is bigger than we can realize. Still, some of us want to at least get an inkling of the biggest picture we can, and we push and stretch the edges of human comprehension just as far as we can. Why all this Christian Bashing?

Let me see... Could the flaming self-righteousness, the arrant assumption of superiority and disrespect, the threats of fire and brimstone Hell have anything to do with it? There was a man in Cleveland...

He was an older man with some kind of European acent, German, maybe; he was a retired painter, or so I heard, who had lived a long and worldly life. Then, the story went, he got God. When I was there, in college, he was a Regular around the Lagoon that reflects the Cleveland Art Museum, and its busted bronze of Rodin's Thinker--one of the original eight or so that the sculptor made (which some lack-wit revolutionary stuffed with dynamite one night in 1970. Many long years ago, when I was a freshman at Western Reserve U in Cleveland, I had a friend in the neighboring school, Case Institute of Technology. I took classes in Classics, and Anthropology, and French and stuff. He took hard-core Physics... He taught me this. On any test in Physics or Math, just as in grade school and high school, students were required to show on paper how they had arrived at the solution to their problem. Is this a Good Post, or an Evil Post?

Myself, I don't consider the 'rightness' or 'wrongness' of a thing, I am more interested in how it affects what's around it. Spiritually, does it increase the Light in the world, or cast deeper, longer shadows? Does it bring us more towards unity (ref to an earlier post: Everything = 1 ) or does it increase the illusion of alone-ness and abandonment? In mundane terms, does it work, or not work? Holograms: A brief multi-dimensional moment

I understand holograms to be produced at the inersection of two "coherent light sources" (lasers, that is). At the point of intersection is the illusion of 3-dimensional Reality. So--suppose we have three, or four, or more coherent energy sources? Like the senses, for instance... Do you suppose we would get an even more compelling illusion of Reality where they all intersect. Vampires, Eh?

One of the drawbacks with not hiding your light under a bushel is that, in this sometimes murky world, the light attracts things: Moths, naturally, and other insects, and as you might expect, the odd vampire or two. The brighter you shine, the more those critters come rattling at your window... And if it's wide open, they will come in! How do you know when you are reading the Bible

that you are, in fact, reading the Bible? It's all very well to say that the Word of God is Inspired, so it must be Right. But maybe not: Inspiration I have no argument with, but I know also that the Light of true Inspiration comes to a writer's fingertips through layers of filters and Parts (as mentioned also in previous posts in this place) that distort and obscure and cast long shadows...
