I won't tell if you won't

So I just realized that I made a huge mistake. I made it 15 months ago, but I never noticed. It's a typo. My user name for most things--e-mail, on Amazon, etc.--is kasthu. It's a combination of the first two letters of my first name, the first two letters of my middle name, and the first two letters of my last name. But if you look closely, which I'd never done before, my user name on here is kathu. Totally unintentional. Ooops. How embarrassing. But I bet you didn't know I'd made a typo in my... Are there people in your life who take from you without ever giving back?

This evening C IM'd me again, complaining YET AGAIN about the problems he's having with his 18-year-old girlfriend. Ugh. One more person I don't want to have to deal with right now in my life. She still thinks he's cheating on her, which I think is ridiculous considering that C isn't the type of guy who would so something like that. Happy Columbus Day!

This day doesn't mean very much to me. When I was in high school and college we never celebrated it, or got the day off. I didn't understand why then, but I think I do now. Most Americans tend to treat this day as yet another holiday and don't really think about the historical significance of it. But if you really begin to read, and think about it, Americans shouldn't be celebrating Columbus Day at all--Columbus never come to what is now the US.
